We also thought of something sweet so Diana brought 3 trays of simple peach cake and I prepared 3 trays of this cake with semolina, yogurt and lemon.

Because everyone asked us for the recipes, so here's mine. Cake with semolina, yogurt and lemon appears in various variants in Greece, Macedonia and Turkey. It is also called "revani cake".

On the Romanian blogs I found some strange variants that indicated the syrup of the baked, hot cake with cold milk. It is not OK to add cold milk over a baked cake because milk is a bacterial growth medium, leading to rapid spoilage of the cake. It's different when you syrup Wasp's nest (recipe here) with boiling milk and put the tray back in the oven for 10 minutes! That's why I chose to syrup it with a hot syrup of sugar, water and lemon.

The quantities below are for a 30 x 40 cm tray and they will result in a cake a little higher than mine (I made a double portion and divided it into 3 trays & # 8211 that's why mine is more thin). Of course you can also use oranges instead of lemons.
